1. Nylon Monofilament
Monofilament, synthetic, non-absorbable suture, color black, blue or undyed.
Obtained from extrusion of polyamide 6.0 and 6.6 with a uniform cylindrical diameter.
Tissue reaction is minimal.
Nylon is a non absorbable material that with time, is encapsulated by connective tissue.
It is known that the thread mass diminishes, approximately by 10% a year due to the rupture of chemical links through hydrolytic actions.
Color code: Green label(PANTONE 360C).
Normally used when confronting tissue in Neurological, Ophthalmic and Plastic Surgery.
Characteristics:
Synthetic origin(prime quality raw materal) INERT.
Excellent creep.
Monofilament(uniform millimeter gage).
Hermitic packing.
Needle protection support.
Precisely sharpened needles for highly specialized surgery (Ophthalmology,Plastic Surgery).
Black color.
Blue color.
Uses:
General, Gynecology, Obstretrics, Ophthalmic, Neurology, Peripheral micro-vascular Surgery, Orthopedics and General Surgery.
Note:
The surgeon can have confidence in procedures where a non absorbable, single-threaded suture of high tensile strength is recommended, provided that the surgeon knows the characteristics, benefits and limitations of this suture material and applies good surgical practice.

2. Polyproplene Monofilament
Synthetic, non-absorbable ,monofilament suture.
Blue color.
Extruded in a filament with a computer controlled diameter.
Tissue reaction is minimal.
The polypropylene in vivo is extraordinarily stable; ideal for fulfilling its purpose as a permanent support, without compromising its tensile strength.
Color code: blue label(PANTONE 652C).
Frequently used to confront tissue in specialized areas. Cuticular and Cardiovascular procedures being among the most important.
Characteristics:
Synthetic origin
Excellent plastodeformation..
Monofilament.
Hermitic packing.
Non absorbable.
Resistance to repeated bending.
Needle protection support.
Precise sharpness premium needles.
Special needles for use in cardiovascular surgery (see report on needles).

Uses:
Cardiovascular Surgery, Plastic Reconstructive, Cuticular Surgery, Ginecology and Obstetretics, Orthopedics and General Surgery.
Note:
The users can also reliably use it in those procedures where a non absorbable, single thread and synthetic suture of high tensile strength is recommended, provided that the user knows the characteristics, benefits and limitations of this suture material and uses good surgical practice.

3. Polyester braided
Synthetic, non-absorbable ,multifilament,
braided suture.
Green or white color.
Polyester composite of terephthalate with or without cover.
Because of its non-absorbable synthetic origin, it has a minimum tissue reactivity.
Used in tissue coaptation due to its characteristically high tensile strength.
Color code: Green label(PANTONE 3288C).
Frequently used in Speciality Surgery including Cardiovascular and Opthtalmic because of its high resistance to repeated bending.
Characteristics:
Synthetic origin.
Resistance to repeated flexion.
Braided Multifilament..
Hermitic packing.
Non absorbable.
Needle protection support.
Precise sharpness premium needles.

Uses:
It is indicated in procedures where the use of a synthetic braided and non absorbable suture is recommended. These includes: Cardiovascular Surgery, Opthalmogic Surgery and General Surgery.
Note:
The users can also reliably use it in those procedures where a non absorbable, multifilament and synthetic suture of high tensile strength is recommended, provided that the user knows the characteristics, benefits and limitations of this suture material and uses good surgical practice.

4.Silk braided
Natural, non-absorbable ,multifilament, braided suture.
Black, white and blue color.
Obtained from the cocoon of the Bombyx Mori I silk worm.
Tissue reactivity may be moderate.
Tension is maintained through time though it decreases until tissue encapsulation occurs.
Color code: Blue label(PANTONE 2995C).
Frequently used in tissue confrontation or ties except in urologic procedure. Characteristics:
Prime quality raw material.
Threaded Multifilament..
Hermitic packing.
Non absorbable.
Needle protection support.
Black color(thread with silicone).

Uses:
General Surgery, Gastroentelorogy, Opthalmology, Gynecology and Obstretrics.
Note:
The surgeon can reliably use it in those procedures where a non absorbable, multifilament and synthetic suture of high tensile strength is recommended, provided that the user knows the characteristics, benefits and limitations of this suture material and uses good surgical practice.

5.Stainless Steel
Monofilament, stainless steel, non-absorbable suture.
Natural color
Inflammatory reaction is minimal.
Tensile strength is permanent.
Color code: Gray label(PANTONE 7539C).
Frequently used in Orthopedic procedures including Sternal Closure Surgery.
Characteristics:
Stainless steel
Non absorbable.
Monofilament.
Permanent high tensile strength
Ductile and malleable.
Special design of non-traumatic needles.
Hermetic packing.
Uses:
If the user knows the characteristics, benefits and limitations of the stainless steel suture, and if he/she is familiarized with good surgical practices, the use of this product is adequate for procedures requiring a highly resistant material, for example in Orthopedics, Closure of Sternum, etc. The knot requires the special knotting techniques of surgical Stainless Steel.
